Privacy Policy

AutoUI ("we", "our", or "us") is a Chrome extension that captures UI elements from web pages and regenerates them as clean code using AI. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Email address — collected when you sign in with Google, used to identify your account.
Usage counts — we track how many element picks and page captures you perform each month to enforce free-tier limits.
Captured UI data — HTML, CSS, and screenshot data from elements you choose to capture. This is sent to the Claude API to generate code and is not stored by us after the response is returned.
Subscription status — whether you are on the free or paid plan, managed via Stripe.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not capture any page content unless you explicitly activate the picker or page capture.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We do not store your captured UI data beyond the duration of a single generation request.

3. Third-Party Services

AutoUI uses the following third-party services:

Supabase — authentication and database storage for account and usage data. Privacy policy
Anthropic (Claude API) — AI code generation. Captured UI data is sent to Anthropic's API. Privacy policy
Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Privacy policy

4. How We Use Your Data

To authenticate you and maintain your session.
To enforce free-tier usage limits and manage your subscription.
To generate code from UI elements you capture.

5. Data Retention

Your account data (email, usage counts, subscription status) is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser's extension storage and are never shared.

7. Children's Privacy

AutoUI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of AutoUI after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
